چکیده

Abstract The recent work of logician Jc Beall marks a paradigm shift within the fields analytic theology and philosophy religion. Thanks to Beall’s work, long held (and generally unquestioned) assumption that is governed by (or closed under) classical account logic, no longer free for assumption. More importantly, dropping this unquestioned commitment account, has uncovered natural well-motivated solutions some monotheistic theologies’ most difficult longstanding problems. That said, much others who have followed his lead) been paraconsistent, utilizing glut-theoretic (contradictory) models solve theologies In essay, my plan go paracomplete, with aim exploring yet be explored solution infamous foreknowledge freedom problem. My finds its roots in Aaron Cotnoir (‘God Gaps’, Analysis , 2017). Specifically, essay I will explore gap-theoretic problem; one which it neither true nor false God foreknowledge. Divine freedom and the choice of a world

A problem about God's freedom In his book Anselmian Explorations, Thomas Morris raises the question how God's freedom of will can be reconciled with His essential righteousness. 1 He provides an interesting and attractive solution to this problem, one which provides for divine freedom with respect to divine acts of supererogation. I shall argue that Morris' solution becomes considerably less...

A Model-theoretic Account for Structural Realism

In this paper I will give a model-theoretic account for structural realism. I will introduce the so-called ‘hierarchy of models’ which can be used to formally analyse the structure shared by a ‘high-level theory’ and the ‘phenomena’. I will show that structural empiricism (as characterized by Bueno (1997, 2000) and Van Fraassen (1980)) cannot be accommodated in the hierarchy of models and show ...
